1 · Run the installer
After download, just double-click. The installer runs in seconds —
no setup wizard, no questions, no click-marathon. Hypnotika is
installed for your user account only (into
%LocalAppData%), just like VS Code or Slack do.
- No administrator rights needed — no UAC prompt, no admin password
- A desktop shortcut and a start-menu entry are created automatically
- A clean uninstaller is included — removable any time without residue
2 · Launch Hypnotika
After installation Hypnotika launches directly — or you click the new desktop shortcut. On first start, Windows may show a warning: "Windows protected your PC by SmartScreen." Don't panic — this happens with any new program that hasn't been seen by millions of users yet. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
Is that actually safe?
Yes. The warning only means Microsoft hasn't seen our app often enough — not that it's dangerous. The installer needs no administrator rights and makes no system-wide changes: Hypnotika installs only into your own user profile and can be removed any time via the included uninstaller.
3 · Walk through the setup wizard
On first launch, a setup wizard guides you: pick audio output → set up microphone → choose recording folder. You can skip any time and finish later in settings.
4 · Add your first music
From the library page, drag your MP3/WAV/FLAC files onto one of the phase piles. Analysis (tempo + key) runs in the background and takes about 5–10 seconds per track.
By the way: the software ships with a handful of royalty-free starter tracks so you can get going right away. Your own music works the same way — just drag and drop. For more sources, see our music sources guide.
