1 · What a preset is
- Name + icon
- BPM corridor (min/max for auto-pick)
- Crossfade-sec override (e.g. slower transitions for sleep induction)
- Curated tracks per phase (Intro, Middle, Climax, Outro)
- Intro-Outro lock (same track for both — common in hypnosis)
- Notes
2 · Bundled presets
- 🚭 Smoking Cessation — BPM 60-80, intro-outro lock
- 🌙 Sleep Induction — BPM 55-68, long crossfade (12 sec), no climax
- 😌 Anxiety Relief — BPM 65-78, intro-outro lock, safety-focused
- 🥾 Hero's Journey — BPM 56-72, 8-sec crossfade, long sessions (60-90 min). See Hero's Journey article.
All four ship empty (no tracks assigned) — you fill them yourself.
3 · Create your own preset
- Sidebar → Session presets
- Top right + New preset
- Name (e.g. „Pain Reframing")
- Pick icon, BPM range, crossfade override, notes
- Save
4 · Assign tracks
Four areas (Intro, Middle, Climax, Outro). Per area:
- „+ Add track" → list of available tracks (filtered by BPM corridor and tag)
- Drag-and-drop between areas
- List order = playback order on repeated phase-button presses (cursor advances)
5 · Activate
Cockpit top → preset dropdown. Selected preset overrides crossfade, restricts phase track picks to the curated list, enables cursor-based ordering.
6 · Duplicate a preset
In the preset editor → three-dot menu → „Duplicate". Creates a copy with „— Copy" appended to the name. Useful when you want a variation of the Hero's Journey preset.
7 · Best practices
- 2-4 tracks per phase is enough — prevents the repetition effect with regular clients
- Mix different keys within the preset — Hypnotika's crossfade uses Camelot wheel matching
- Use the notes field for session-script hints (e.g. „middle, 3rd track is the mentor encounter")
